At a gala event held at the Vintner’s Hall in London, Celia Gaze, managing director of The Wellbeing Farm Cookery School was delighted to accept the award for ‘best use of local produce’ at the 2013 British Cookery School Awards.
The Wellbeing Farm Cookery School in Edgworth, near Bolton specialises in offers a wide range of courses and specialises in provenance and sustainability. With a real passion for teaching budding cooks from pre-school to adults, all ingredients are sourced from the land, from local farmers or from the local award-winning butcher, which co-owns the farm. All students are taught in a custom-designed cooking space that includes top of the range appliances from De Dietrich.

De Dietrich Kitchen Appliances are the recipient of the Innovation in Design for Kitchens award for the Premium DHD1190B Updraft Extractor at the 2013 Designer Kitchen and Bathroom Awards, held on Thursday 14th November 2013.
The prestigious event, took place within the Tower of London and was attended by over 400 guests and luminaries from the kitchens and bathrooms industry and was organised by the publishers of trade journal Designer Kitchens & Bathrooms Magazine, consumer title, Utopia Magazine and online news website, K&B Network. The award was presented to sales & marketing director Richard Walker by TV presenter and interiors specialist, Melissa Porter, who hosted the awards ceremony.
A VIP event was held by Cornflake, a leading supplier of premium home automation systems to launch the Smart App-artment – its new experiential retail showroom in central London. The two-storey apartment, just off Tottenham Court Road is a high-end domestic property and showcases the most covetable home automation technology on the market, including intelligent and intuitive premium kitchen appliances from De Dietrich. Visitors are invited to ‘live-in’ and experience the exclusive interior-designed setting created by award-winning interior designer, April Russell.
The Smart App-artment has a number of delineated areas dedicated to the most advanced audio and visual solutions, together with entire roomsets that incorporate a separate bar and games room that easily converts into a party room, plus an in-house cinema room which enables the user to stream the latest movies, Sky or terrestrial TV. The open plan living area incorporates a stunning kitchen with in the De Dietrich Grey Pearl and White Pearl ranges, and the most advanced zoneless induction hob on the market, the Piano. Everything in the Smart App-artment is accessed and controlled by touch, and to complement the Piano the kitchen includes Intelligent Control System Ovens (ICS) with matching ICS Dishwasher, pyrolytic ovens, compact ovens and downdraft extractor.
